    Dallas, Texas,.the ninth-largest city in the United States. is also the county seat of Dallas County. Established in 1841 Dallas, Texas was officially incorporated as a city on February 2 , 1856. The city is best known for its significant contribution to the petroleum industry, telecommunications, computer technology, banking, as well transportation. There are many Neighborhoods in Dallas which are are marked by their own distinct traits.
    Anchored by Downtown, Central Dallas is the hub of the city and the nerve center of urban regeneration. Central Dallas in conjugation with Oak Lawn and Uptown Dallas, are prominent ares served profusely by retail, restaurants, and nightlife.


    Downtown Neighborhoods in Dallas are known for its diversity of neighborhoods which include the West End Historic District, the Arts District, the Main Street District, Farmers Market District, the City Center business district, the Convention Center District, the Reunion District and Victory Park. Oak Lawn in north Downtown has a sizable population and is dotted with parks along Turtle Creek and the prominent Uptown area with LoMac, Cityplace as well as the West Village.



    The eastern part of the Neighborhoods in Dallas encompassing the community of east Dallas is home to Deep Ellum. It is a fashionable arts area adjacent to downtown, homey Lakewood, the remarkable Vickery Place, Bryan Place, and homes on Swiss Avenue which are both historically and architecturally significant.

    The southern part of the Neighborhoods in Dallas encompasses Oak Cliff which is a hilly zone in southwest Dallas with a sizable Hispanic population with the entertainment districts such as the Bishop Arts District being the major areas of attractions.
